Meet the Entrepreneurs Behind Wheels of Power Electric Bikes

Wheels of Power was founded by Tim Yandell and Jack Jason. The two men first met in 1980 when Tim gave Jack his first job as the manager of an automobile dealership in California. Their business relationship turned into a long-lasting friendship that brought them back together with this exciting partnership.

Tim

Tim has an extensive background in the automotive industry, working with such established brands as Honda, Nissan and Toyota. In addition, he has been involved in the high-tech computer field since the onset of Apple home computers 40 years ago.

Jack

As a young child, Jack began a life-long passion for motorcycles and cars.  He credits (blames?) his parents who imported their own Renault from France in 1950 before he was born. His deep automotive retail experience includes working for leading brands such as Aston Martin, Mercedes Benz, Honda, and Toyota. He has received numerous awards for sales excellence and customer satisfaction from Acura, Honda, Mercedes Benz, and Mitsubishi.

 

In 2019, based in Santa Fe at the time, his company Sweet Motor Sales earned the New Mexico Dealer of the Year award from the 600-member New Mexico Independent Automobile Dealers Association.

 

While both men have strong automotive backgrounds, Tim and Jack knew they couldn’t compete with the likes of Tesla in the automotive world. Instead, recognizing how the market has shifted to electric vehicles of all modes and sizes, they decided to step into the world of electric bikes and become an integral part of the world’s electrical revolution.
